Description:
This is an opportunity for pure fun and fantasy as well as a challenge to exploit most off-loom beading stitches. The Octopus’ Garden is composed of a wild strip of freeform Peyote seaweed, inhabited by a multitude of 3 dimensional sea creatures. Each individual life form is a sculptural piece in its own right, and would be easily transposed as a fun decoration for a different piece of jewelry Students can play with themed colours or stay within the ‘confines’ of nature’s hues. Either way the end result is delightful, and the bracelet is a real talking point.
About The Tutor:
Melanie de Miguel is passionate about science and beadwork, which have inspired her designs and teaching for the last 7 years. Fantasy is often closely linked with science and this is now emerging in her work.
