Friday evening

There's the usual meet-and-mingle in the evening before a tasty dinner and a fascinating talk from our Guest Speaker.

Saturday’s Bead-In

Come and celebrate all things Egyptian with us. The Bead-In is a brilliant way to celebrate our community by getting everyone beading together. We all work in the same room and the theme gives us inspiration and focus. Bead-In days are full on, we get straight into our beading, tea and coffee is plentiful, lunch is provided too and then it’s back to beading. At the end of the day there is an opportunity to browse around each table to see what everyone else has been making.

These events are for everyone, whatever your skill level. We have a help desk for anyone who lacks confidence or just needs a little assistance. We also provide a booklet with stitch instructions and a few brand new, created especially for this event small selection ofprojects to get you started.

The trustees and other volunteers are making samples to display, to show what can be done when you draw inspiration from such a rich period in history. There will be a display of Egyptian themed paraphernalia that we hope will inspire you, including all sorts of colour schemes, patterns, and shapes that might take your fancy. You can get right into designing a piece inspired by the theme of the day, or you can work from the booklet we provide and take photographs for reflection or designing from later. Do whatever works best for you. We love to see people getting together, sharing stories, making friends and being creative.

After a full day of Beading there's another chance to meet-and-mingle, another tasty dinner, your chance to have a say at our AGM and find out what we have been up to all year.

Saturday evening

The Guild’s AGM takes place on Saturday evening and is an opportunity for you to find out what the Guild has been up to during the last year and our plans for the future. Challenge winners will be announced, together with new themes for the following year’s Challenge and colour display.

Sunday’s Bead Fair

The Guild’s Bead Bazaar, one of the best bead fairs in the country, is free for all members and a great opportunity to see all the latest products on the market.
